Background
The freight industry is plagued by fragmented tools, opaque pricing, and rampant fraud. LaneRunner was built to modernize the entire load lifecycle — from discovery and negotiation to booking and compliance — in a single platform. With AI-assisted rate negotiation, FMCSA authority verification, and real-time market intelligence, it brings transparency and trust to an industry that desperately needs it.
Challenges
Building a compliant, multi-role marketplace required implementing full KYC/KYB flows, FMCSA/DOT authority checks, and insurance verification. The AI negotiation assistant needed real-time lane data and market comparables to suggest fair rates. We also built a sophisticated role-based access control system supporting brokers, carriers, and admins with company-level team management.
Outcome
LaneRunner launched with a comprehensive feature set including AI-powered freight assistance, real-time rate alerts, fleet management, and market intelligence dashboards. The platform handles structured negotiations with expiry timestamps, e-signed rate confirmations, and full document compliance tracking — setting a new standard for freight marketplace transparency.
